Juried into Pressing Matters 2016, San Luis Obispo Museum of Art. First place, Intaglio, California Mid-State Fair fine arts exhibit, 2015.

A study in detached beauty. The title says it all — a synthesis of the Valpinçon Bather by Ingres and the “femme androïde fatale” in E.T.A. Hoffman’s The Sandman.

The lines were laid in as a soft ground etching, followed by multiple aquatint tones.
