About David

A Central Coast native, David has been a graphic designer for more than 25 years. David worked for Tom Jones Advertising in San Luis Obispo, Franklin Resources in San Mateo, and three years with Tintype Graphic Arts in San Luis Obispo before becoming self-employed in 1992. He started with two exciting projects, the Transit System Route Map for the San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority, and being named the 1993 San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival Graphic Designer.

A member of the Paso Robles Art Association, David is the coordinator of its' Artists' Forum. He has exhibited his work at many venues in the North County, including eight solo shows and two joint shows. He's also participated in four “Galaxy” shows at the Paso Robles Public Library, and received eight ribbons in seven years from the California Mid-State Fair Art Show. In October 2011, he plans to participate in his fourth Open Studios Art Tour.

David won a Bank of America Achievement Award in Art and second place in the San Luis Obispo Art Center scholarship contest in 1981. He earned a BA in Applied Art and Design from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1986.
